Because the club isn’t as obsessed with buyback clauses for young players as members of this forum are.

It’d be more red tape holding up the move and subsequently the funds, which would have a knock on effect on the rest of our window.

Take the free cash and leg it.

I’m not normally buy back/sell on bothered, but we clearly wanted this guy & it’s only the home office that prevents is having him.

I’d have thought a buy back would be something we’d be keen on, as clearly we tried to get him here.

We signed him as a young player and have run the rule over his loan spells. I can only assume we didn’t see enough to warrant putting in such a clause.

Obviously we’ll be a bit sick if he turns out to be a worldie but that’s the chance you take.

It's actually the FA and their GBE rules, home office would likely have no problem giving a permit to somebody earning £40k a week

But but we already know the FA are against us... I want the home office against us too.

The struggle is real - EFC.

(Thanks for the correction)

EUR 15M trumps another year on loan in Turkey, he is only worth what the market will pay.

This is good business and that money can be put to good use.

That would easily cover loan fees for two decent players.
Im just finally happy to cash in. If we double our money we purchased him for... job well done. I honestly was getting fed up with the work permit stuff.

Yep. It’s bizarre that they wouldn’t give him a work permit, but we are better off letting him go now than losing him for nothing later. We have to make the best of a bad situation unfortunately.

Trouble with loaning him again Is, that's another year off his contract. It's ok hoping he rise in value on loan but what if he walks away for free? At least there is some value for us here.
