Hi-Fi systems

That's fine if you don't want to hear all of what the artist put down on their tracks. Spect you'll be telling the world you don't listen to albums all the way through next.
Even the ones you don't like apart from one track :coffee:
I just listen to songs I like, or radio stations.

I can't be bothered arguing over hearing a crackle from the original recording or not, I'm almost deaf in one ear anyway so what's the point

Used to have a Thorens belt drive deck with a Trio valve amp, using various makes of speakers. Loved the amp and was gutted when it expired. Ditto the deck. Since then I have tried many combinations of separates (as they used to be called) depending on my ability to afford the items. Now have a Pioneer amp with 2 mission speakers which are connected to my Mac PC. Only have a USB deck at present as I had intended to convert my vinyl to digital but ended up just keeping my old LPs and in the past 3 years buying new albums to replace the old ones. I do like playlists and have Spotify etc but can still listen to a lot of my vinyl stuff all the way through..currently looking for a decent deck in the £200 - £500 range to replace my USB one - any advice ?
I saw a Dual deck in a charity shop recently - but they knew what it was - and wanted £150 for it - still quite a bargain if HiFi's your thing. Don't know if they still make the Dual CS505 or not - but they were a pretty decent one in that price range, as were Rega Planar 3 - both in that bracket (The Rega being superior). There's a couple on Ebay - I've just had a look.

Dual Turntable
Nad Amp
Technics Equaliser
Monitor Audio Speakers.
Target Audio Speaker Stands ( make a massive difference to the bass, as they stop it " earthing ".

Served me faithfully for over thirty years, with the odd belt change, cartridge change and upgrade on speaker wire.

A decent system is a thing of beauty ;)
A classic set up from the 80s.

Not sure about the graphic equaliser though ... really necessary?

Had Spotify for years and apart from the 2 weekly ones based on recommendations, I haven't listened to a playlist. Much prefer albums/EP's.
I listen to Spotify in work and in the car so usually download massive playlists and stick them on shuffle. I don't really build my own.

I love the weekly ones though, introduced me to some great stuff.

Like the "Discover Weekly" one based on stuff you've already streamed ...agree with that sentiment - found stuff I'd not heard .....superb ;)
