History

Guy on YouTube called Mark Felton does a lot of good stuff like that. Brits involved in The Bulge, but hear nothing much about it.
Be careful of what that guy puts up. Such as 'Ram attack! The pilot who saved Buckingham Palace'. This refers to the collision of Sergeant Ray Holmes of 504 Squadron with a Dornier 17 of 1. Staffel, Kampfgeschwader 76. Here are the full details:
1./KG76 Dornier Do 17Z-2, F1+FH, W. Nr. 2361. Set alight in repeated fighter attacks during sortie over central London and abandoned by crew. Engaged by several fighters including: F/L J. Jefferies, Sgt J. Hubacek, Sgt R. Puda, and Sgt J. Kaucky of No.310 (Czech) Squadron, P/O J. Curchin and P/O A.K. Ogilvie of No.609 Squadron, F/O P.T. Parsons of No.504 Squadron and possibly also that attacked by P/O A.C. Cochrane of No.257 Squadron. Finally tail struck by Hurricane flown by Sgt R.T. Holmes of No.504 Squadron during final attack and broke up over Vauxhall and Fulham, one engine falling in the forecourt of Victoria railway station and other wreckage in Wilton Road 11.50 a.m. HB Uffz Hans Goschenhofer and HB Uffz Gustav Hubel both killed. FF Oberlt Robert Zehbe badly wounded baled out and attacked on landing at Kennington - admitted to hospital but died of injuries next day. BF Obergefr Ludwig Armbruster baled out and captured unhurt on landing in Wells Park Road, Sydenham. BM Uffz Leo Hammermeister baled out wounded and captured on landing in Dulwich.

The target was NOT Buckingham Palace, but was simply a general daylight raid on London. There is no eveidence to confirm that Holmes deliberately rammed the Do 17.

But then Felton does not let the truth get in the way of a good story...
