Radio 4 serialized the diaries a few years' back. They were very good, but unfortunately unavailable unless you want to pay. Our Sam was a randy old devil ! lolSamuel Pepys and His Diary - Historic UK
Samuel Pepys is best known for his diaries, written between 1660 and 1671, and his eyewitness accounts of major events such as the coronation of Charles II, the Great Fire of London and the Great Plague...www.historic-uk.com
Was having a look through some of Samuel Pepys diary entries, and he documented every day of his life, literally!
It basically reads like a 1600 version of updating his FB status on a daily basis.
He did get his name into the history books for documenting both the great plague and the great London fire though.
But most of the other days basically read like:
Dear diary,
Like OMG, saw the most stunning powered wig in town today! #windowshopping
Went for a pint with the b.tches later on, and WTF Thomas was acting like such a little b.tch! #dramaqueen
Lol, kidding, but no... Most days were pretty mundane.
Documented forever and ever! I'll bet Sam didn't see that coming when he was putting pen to paper!Radio 4 serialized the diaries a few years' back. They were very good, but unfortunately unavailable unless you want to pay. Our Sam was a randy old devil ! lol
