Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

Maybe they have. They wouldn’t hound the FA on Twitter or something.

There has been nothing from the club anywhere for the previous month :-( Its not about tweeting or something but the club can demand action from somewhere and by subtle mentioning at press conferences etc and putting pressure on the fa, even suggesting Holgate isn' t in squad due to "issue" that arose at that match :-)

Am sick of us being the nice Everton that let' everyone walk all over us :-(

I think the longer it drags on the more trouble Firmino may be in.
If there clearly was no case to answer this would be all over by now....PROBABLY.

BBC:
West Brom say they will "fully support" Jay Rodriguez after the striker was charged by the Football Association over an allegation of racially abusing Brighton defender Gaetan Bong.

Seems like it's obvious regardless of outcome that LFC would stand behind Firmino if the decision from FA would go against him in this case. Also gives a good insight on what a referee needs to do following a game in a match report. Hopefully our ref was following suit as well...

Aye, unfortunately it's also discouraging as this incident occurred on 13/1... Perhaps our incident was more sophisticated with less concrete evidence

Perhaps its more that West Brom weren't involved in a national media campaign to highlight how racial abuse was still going on at the time one of their players was accused of racially abusing an opponent.

'An FA statement said it was alleged Rodriguez "used abusive and/or insulting words which included a reference to ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race".'

Exactly the same accusation as Holgate's will have been. He clearly called out at Holgate "puta" and then as per Holgates claim a racial epithet.

There can be no distinction here.

The VERY LEAST Firmino is looking at is a ban for abuse.

Well no Dave, football is a passionate sport, you cant ban players for abusing each other.

Racial abuse clearly is a different subject, but ive no issue with the little rat abusing Holgate for shoving him in the stand, its whether he crossed the line thats the issue.

Cant call another professional the son of a whore mate.

That;s a ban right there and there is NO debate about that.

Interesting that you joined shortly after this incident, and you have only ever posted in this thread to defend Firmino. Except for your brief entrance into one other thread where you posted that we’ve sold all our best players and need to stop spending above our means.

Interesting.

You seem to have a problem with factual accuracy.

How is saying wait until we see the evidence before deciding guilt a defence of someone, it is one of the things our society is founded on. As for the threads I have posted in off the top of my head I have posted in the Unsworth thread, the Walcott thread, the Moshiri thread, the Stadium thread, the Allardyce thread, the Calvert Lewin thread, the Mo MO thread and the Walsh thread.
