And the statement out of LFC - the club that's up to its elbows in historic acts of racism and industrial scale violence - is a 'kin joke.

Oh, and well done Everton for acting like a bunch of cowards who couldn't give a flying one. Useless, shameful gets.

I don’t think that’s the case as it literally makes no sense. My interpretation and judging from our statement is that they believe Holgate’s allegation was genuine (hence us thanking them for not thinking it was a malicious complaint) but that quite simply it’s only his complaint which contributes to any actual evidence. That’s not enough to charge anyone with. They’re saying that the allegation was made in good faith but the evidence to back it up simply isn’t there. Not sure what else people want?

Yep that's my interpretation of it too, the fact it went on as long as it did meant that they did a thorough investigation but the ref was in between the two players the whole time, surely if something had been saif then be would have heard it?

Holgate sold out by a spineless club more interested in being the nicest club in the prem than standing up for its own players.
