Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

I find that staggering. The FA "All we found out was that Firmino called Holgate the son of a whore...so that's ok".

Its unpleasant, but not racist.

Lets face it, footballers at all levels say nasty things to opponents. But the leap to proving a racist comment is too wide in my view.

And their fans are all gloating, calling Holgate a liar, saying he should be charged, and conveniently pretending to care about LGBT people.

Like they'd give a toss if it was one of their players making those stupid tweets.

Kopites are gobshites - we all know this. Just the kind of thing they feed off. Hopefully one day they will all choke on the bile they spew continuously.

No matter who they are or play for if there was not enough evidence then he can’t be found guilty.
Put yourself in Firmino’s shoes and imagine you’d said nothing racist.

I believe Holgate thought he heard something, his reaction on the pitch says as much, but maybe he misheard.

Them trying to take the moral high ground is a joke, we know it and so does the rest of the Country.

Don't, he's upset that somebody said something nasty to somebody.

Despite all of the bile he has dished out on this forum over the last few years in insulting people, it seems it's OK if he does it, but nobody else.

Even so, what does it say about an organisation that tolerates that as something you dont punish? If a player attending a tribunal got a two match ban and then called them sons of whores, do you think he;d have his ban remain the same length?

The lack of reaction from none of our players apart from Holgate was telling for me. That's not to say for certain Firmino 100% didn't say something inflammatory.

It was his stupid push which sparked the incident and it could have got him booked or worse.

I'm not sure what more EFC could have done for those slagging the club off.

Surprise surprise, there was zero evidence of any racial slur, if there was then it would of been sorted within 72 hours of the incident.

Yeah, stop dragging Liverpool's good name into the gutter Holgate....

A Liverpool player could shoot one of our players on the pitch and you still wouldn’t get the likes of Jags or Baines saying anything. Cowardly club who pay cowards to play for it.
