As soon as Mason makes a statement it is then viewed as evidence. The TV footage of Mason claiming he had been racially abused is evidence.

The 11 other statements taken by the FA, the rest of the TV footage and the evidence given by the language experts did not back up the evidence given by Mason so it was deemed that there was insufficient evidence.

That should be the end of it but knowing you Dave you will come up with another 'theory' to back up the conclusion you initially jumped to with such glee.

so when are you going to end this pathetic charade and admit you're a kopite? would at least have a little bit of respect for your honesty then, it's just sad right now

Holgate clearly heard wrong on this occasion. But it was right that there was an investigation just as there should be if this is alleged at any point in any game.

Hopefully he will feel vindicated that there was a full and very lengthy investigation into it and it wasn't just ignored.

As for the rest of us, at the risk of us coming across as very strange indeed, we should probably put it to bed now, as it seems Mason Holgate has.

I dont need any theories mate, I just stick to the facts. So do many Liverpool supporters too, which is why they're still fuming that the suspicion of racism still hangs over Firmino with this FA statement.

Effectively the FA have called this "cold case", and the matter remains open.

Looking at the FA disciplinary page it seems that the official detailed report comes out in about late March, if the other cases on there are any guideline. Dont know if they'll publish them before that.

If you were honest about which club you support I think your opinion would be taken much more seriously.

There are plenty of supporters on here from other clubs and I think their contributions are highly valued as they give a different perspective to our own.

Having seen many of your posts it is clear that your affiliation is across the park and that contribution in my opinion is very welcome as you put your viewpoint very well , however, pretending it is the viewpoint of an Evertonian is the bit that grates.

No... everybody does not have to have the same opinion, but you should look back at your own post over many different threads and see why people think you support a different club to EFC.

regarding this issue. I do believe Firmino is guilty. I think that the wording from everybody around the case has been of case not proven rather than of innocence . But, even if guilty , in a highly charged situation such as a Merseyside derby emotions can run away with players and they can say something they shouldn't. Next year it could be an Everton player calling names. Racial abuse cannot be tolerated or accepted but we can understand the pressures these young men are under .

I had a glance on RAWK and it was surprisingly more reasonable than usual. Not the 100% 'back our player at all costs' and 'Holgate is a Liar' type stance that I expected from every poster, and is a stance so many Liverpool fans have shamefully taken once again. There have been some daft comments from some of our fans on this thread, but let's not pretend that Liverpool fans haven't embarrassed themselves yet again in front of the rest of the country with their reactions since the incident took place.

As for the Wow comment, it's not exactly inaccurate is it? Yes Everton also don't win things anymore but we acknowledge it. Liverpool fans still seem to consider themselves as part of the European Elite when they haven't won the title for nearly 30 years, and have 1 League Cup win in the last 12. A famous penalty shoot out win against Championship Giants Cardiff City. The 'haven't won a trophy' song is going to get pretty embarrassing soon isn't it...

If you say so, I say people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. But that's just me. I haven't mocked anyone or anything here, I've just found some of the comments comical. One of the Everton fans who posted a few pages back is spot on in his assessment.....none of you give a rats if holgate was actually racially abused it's just mud to sling and now because there's no evidence, a lot of you are slinging it anyway. Not one of you have offered up any evidence holgate was abused, 12 players and the ref heard nothing, yet still a lot of you insist the ref is bent, the fa don't want to upset the cash cow etc. Even you must admit that's rawkish behaviour.

No the embarrassing bit is the way anyone who doesn't hold extreme views is branded a kopite. That makes people reluctant to speak against the likes of Davek. That means those who shout loudest, are the most abusive and hold the most extreme views drive the debate.

It is a bit like the days of Militant in our City when those with moderate views were abused and silenced. Read some of the posts on here and wonder why people get away with vile abuse.

When I joined on here I was genuinely shocked at some of the bile that is pushed on a daily basis. I dread to think what a neutral fan would think of some of the hatred on here. We are Evertonians and should be better than this.
