Holgate Racially Abused By Firmino - The Guardian

I'm not suggesting there's any trial to be had. I'm pointing out that Firmino is mired in this now. He'll never shake it off.

If he's not charged, he is innocent. A basic principle of English law that the FA has to follow.

As said, Firmino has the question mark hanging over him of whether he did or didn't racially abuse Holgate. Only two people know the answer to that for sure.

I dont see what's unhinged about stating Firmino will be under suspicion from now on. He wont be able to open his mouth on the pitch in anger without people wondering what it is he's saying...and if it;s a black player he's in conflict with then that is multiplied. That's all because Firmino only avoided a charge because it was not categorical he;d said what he was accused of. Dont forget, this wasn't in any way shape or form an innocent verdict, it was a case unproven verdict.

I think the full report when published might highlight that. That, or it'll say that they had a camera angle that got past the problem and Firmino did say or mouth something at that point, but that it was undecipherable and therefore not admissible.

As I said surely a parody account. A verdict comes at the end of a prosecution or at the end of a process. Firmino wasn't even charged. This has been explained to you time and time again but you refuse to accept it.
