If you say so, I say people in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. But that's just me. I haven't mocked anyone or anything here, I've just found some of the comments comical. One of the Everton fans who posted a few pages back is spot on in his assessment.....none of you give a rats if holgate was actually racially abused it's just mud to sling and now because there's no evidence, a lot of you are slinging it anyway. Not one of you have offered up any evidence holgate was abused, 12 players and the ref heard nothing, yet still a lot of you insist the ref is bent, the fa don't want to upset the cash cow etc. Even you must admit that's rawkish behaviour.

Saying 'none of us' care is a bit of a generalisation and not exactly fair is it? I agree with you that some of the comments have been daft on this thread and quite a lot of the views I disagree with. I don't think it's fair to brand Firmino a Racist without sufficient and clear evidence and I personally think the thread title was wrong from the start as it implies he actually did abuse Holgate when it was an allegation at the time.

But I also don't think it's right for you to come on here and act like our fans have been out of order as if the Liverpool fans reaction hasn't been as bad, if not worse. I'd personally say that trawling through Holgate's Twitter account to find something on him when it was unknown if he had suffered racial abuse purely on the basis that they didn't like their player being accused is disgusting behaviour. Holgate was the potential victim and yet Liverpool fans once again decided to go on the offensive and jump to the defence of their player when they didn't have the full facts available. A lot are still branding Holgate a Liar now and it's out of order, just as I think it's out of order for some of ours to say it's clear Firmino is a racist when there isn't sufficient evidence available to prove that he is.

You're on a football forum, you should know by now that they traditionally are not an entirely accurate reflection of the fanbase (ie: kenrwight loathed on here, yet gets a standing ovation at the match...).

You're always going to get lots of posters like Davek and ToffeeTim who think the sky is falling 24/7 and have extreme opinions on just about everything Everton related... just take their posts with a pinch of a salt and move on.

I think it might have helped both Everton and Liverpool supporters if the FA had made it clear what this stage of the investigative process was about. It cannot make a verdict of innocent or guilty but, only, after looking at the evidence, to make a decision on whether or not to charge Firmino with racial abuse. Thus, they could only decide if there was sufficient evidence to charge Firmino or insufficient evidence. In that sense it is analogous to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions - to decide whether to charge or not. Until someone is charged and found guilty, they are regarded as innocent so, if they are not charged they cannot be guilty. Perhaps something on their website as a layman's guide would help.

The full report will be on the FA site in the next few weeks. I suspect we'll get all our answered in full then, and I doubt it'll settle the matter conclusively.

As said, Firmino has the question mark hanging over him of whether he did or didn't racially abuse Holgate. Only two people know the answer to that for sure.

You are wrong @davek. Read again what I said. Any 'trial' will not happen as Firmino has not been charged. Hence he must be innocent.

I'm not suggesting there's any trial to be had. I'm pointing out that Firmino is mired in this now. He'll never shake it off.
