To be honest I not sure I want him to have said anything untoward. I think it'd be better if he really did just call Mason a son of a bitch in Portuguese and Mason misunderstood it or thought it was a stronger insult than it really is.
Having watched Narcos I consider myself an industry expert in usage of the term "puta", and it's used quite widely.
While it would be cool for Firmino to get a nice ban and fine and Liverpool earn themselves an even worse reputation than they already have, it would be pretty horrible to learn our player has been racially abused on the field.
On the other hand, maybe it'd add further spice into future derby games and perhaps fire up our players more and not act like such defeated wimps from the first minute of the game.
I just think it's great than Mase lobbed him over the hoardings. Such small victories, when added together, may one day be considered as valuable as an actual victory in the Merseyside Derby.

You make it sound like Mason is telling the truth or lying. There is another possibility and that is Mason just misheard.

This really isn't an easy thing to prove, and unfortunately, we don't have the best angle.
Judging from some of the pictures there are other angles but maybe these were just photographs took ny the press.
All the articles are still referring to what was said prior to the actual alleged slur, its unbelievable.

I know he's from Yorkshire, not the Yucatan. He wouldn't of grabbed the ref and it was something said it Portuguese, also it was quite obvious Davies new something serious had happened because he ran on the pitch. When he was being pulled back, I think he said to Snides that he'd been racially abused, coz Snides looks like he wants to batter Firmino.

Not defending them but the only people I've seen make racist comments at Everton games are people who are pissed out their head and can't alk straight. Such as 1 fan at Blackburn about 10 years with 2 pints in his hand calling a steward a terrorist because he asked him to stop throwing beer all over the place. They are pissed scallies who don't know any better, not millionaires who have been trained and talked to about these issues.

Actually if you look at the video around the 16 17 second mark, it does seem quite clear he calls him the N word.
