I think he knows what he's doing. These glorified bounce games since the restart have been largely meaningless, but they've given him final confirmation of what he has to work with and what he needs to bring in, and more importantly he can go to the board with iron-clad proof of who needs replacing (even if they can't be moved on just yet). I'd like to think that some of those who've conspired to see off several lesser managers have finally met their Waterloo.

He's got to work with a load of crap so cant really judge him.

Do think though that he hasnt played to our stengths ie. 3 man midfield & punt it long rather than 2 man midfield and tippy tappy passing when our players are largely crap.

No I'm not happy, except for 1 game all season we were and still are shight.

Ask again this time next season and see what the answer is.

I think he did well to keep us up to be honest, we're poor, very poor. How he did that without a midfield is beyond me and players with the courage of wet weetabix. Ive been impressed by that. He hasn't tried to protect the players either hes called them out on attitude and commitment on a number of occasions, i like that as it set a standard.

What i like is he has made the defense better, we all remember what is like under Silva - via the massive all the injuries toward the end of the season. he has salvaged what could be salvaged and tried to develop p[layers, id be utterly depressed about our prospects if not for the development of Brantwaite, DCL, Kean, Holgate and Gordon. There is a good nucleus there he has identified to build around if he can keep the malaise away from it.

It's been disappointing since the resumption post lockdown. There's just very little intensity. The entire playing staff have had a 'get it over with' feel about them, bar a few exceptions. To be fair, lots of games not involving us have had a similar feel.

I don't think we need a huge clear out, just we need a few additions with the right mentality. Centre mid and centre back who will drive the team on, players with a bit of steel about them who rise to the occasion and do what ever it takes.

We're currently like a house party where everyone's just overly polite but it's all a bit boring and no one's really arsed. We need just a few characters to liven the place up.

I do agree with the idea of your post but in fairness I think we were 15th when he took over , we were in the bottom 3 when Duncan took charge . Ancelotti has taken us up a couple of places and we finished 12th .

like I say I agree with what you’re suggesting but I think we’d already seen a upturn in form when he landed.

I think if there was no lockdown momentum would of taken us higher, the last few weeks of playing games screamed of a team that half the players had been told to find other clubs.

I've viewed the lockdown as pretty much signalling the end of our season. The performances reek of the players being told to find new clubs

The fans are starting to turn on him. Only a matter of time before he’s hounded out.

Madness if this is true. He inherited a team bought by the previous 5 managers. Got 50% of total points available. Do some people believe the club will get CL position with the cm we currently have?

Ecstatic about the manager. Totally disheartened by the lack of anything by the players on the pitch.

Will say Carlo needs to augment certain parts of his tactics because we, unfortunately, can't get a new team by next "season" and this group shows no interest, whatsoever, about playing how he wants them to.
