Horse Racing

Funny how things have changed. Or not funny. We went to the Derby in 1968 and it was like a huge Cockney festival. Big carnival.

It's all corporate stuff now. Shame although there is still genuine tension.

.....oooh, Madhmoon 2nd. Ran a great race, I have it in a nice e/w double with the Oaks 4th and backed it e/w ante post ante-post on its own. Not a fan of the flat but won on the classics this season, especially with 33-1 winner of the 1000gns.

Lucky 15 is still up. Had AVD in that and Skybet was paying out down to 5th in the 15:45 and I had Muthmir in that. Got Aquarium in the next, fingers crossed.

...surprised an Evertonian backed the winner of this years Derby. Ben Linfoot tipped it last night, I always back whatever he suggests but I couldn’t bring myself to back that one.

Was waiting on West End Charmer for a decent double

One of Mark Johnstone’s allowed to make all, kicked on 2 out and won easy.

About time

Ascot advice - never been and going on the Saturday - are there buses from the train station to the racecourse? Any other info be grateful of. Cheers in advance
