Horse Racing

...first look at any racing for two weeks, done my customary Lucky15, no strong fancies. I like Channon runners at Chester so threw one of his in. How about you?
I had a win on Penworthem last time out and it's going today first race at York so I will have a little bit on that it doesn't owe me anything, then I'm going to have a study on the Sprint at Ascot see what I can come up with.I haven't looked at Chester yet.ta.

...yep that sprint is a tough one, quite like the 3 year old Fanaar but they have such a poor record on the race. Money for Kaeso, done them both in an Exacta.

Quite a few non-runners about with the rain.

What a terrific King George VI today. Enable adds to her list of accolades being the first horse to recapture the race, but Crystal Ocean made her work hard for it. Fabulous advert for the sport.

...only very small interest in Goodwood, just doing Paul Kealy (Racing Post) and Rob Wright’s (The Times) naps in a double. I like those two because they tend to pick bigger priced selections as their naps. Not so big today, but the double went in @ about 70-1 (2 singles and an e/w double).

Replenishes my SkyBet A/C which took a little hit from my son when I was on holiday!!

Even though it’s the final day of Goodwood today, it’s noticeable that both Oisin Murphy and Danny Tudhope, both leading the jockeys championship have been booked to ride at the lesser meetings of Newmarket and Thirsk, where both have them have leading clams in several races.

I’m thinking they will both score a double a piece today, if not more and ideal territory for a couple of Lucky15s based on their rides today.

...well both will be chasing winners, that’s for sure.

I’ve not had much of an interest at Goodwood but i’ve actually won a few quid the last few days. Love the Stewards Cup but it’s devilishly difficult. I also love Galway, went for about 15 consecutive years and I highly recommend it as long as you’ve got a strong liver.

I’ve haven’t been to Galway but with your recommendation, it sounds an enjoyable excursion and one to add to my list! I wasn’t that impressed with The Curragh, perhaps it was more to do with it being a quiet Trials meeting but I have the Punchestown Festival still to get to, perhaps next year.

York and Newbury are both very enjoyable, as is a day at Chester....I used to enjoy Aintree and also Cheltenham but as I’ve got older I prefer watching each days racing on the TV at my local pub rather than being at the course itself. I get a better view and no problem getting a drink! It think that’s why I have delayed on going over to Punchestown but I still think I’ll have to go one year!

...yep, the Curragh is an interesting experience, i’ve been a couple of times. I’d also recommend Leopardstown (Peter O’Sullivan said it was the best course on the planet). I took the family last October and it was about £70 for a meal in the 1888 restaurant and grandstand tickets, which was really good value.

Just been mugged right off at Chester.
I've never seen a jockey take the blindfold off a horse in the stalls and then try and get it back on again..

Stumbled leaving the stalls when the gates opened and was given a VERY easy ride.

Zac Brown was the horse.. keep eye on that next time out.

Great shout mate. Hope you backed it.
