Horse Racing

@Eggs going by Willie Mullins comments now on irish TV the horse in the bumper today in Leapordstown is one for your ante post portfolio if not there already.

….I backed it in Sept to win ‘any race’ after a few shrewdies mentioned he was a bit good. At that stage the view was he would be going novice hurdling, it’s a little surprise he’s staying in Bumpers.

Mullins hasn’t had an obvious champion bumper candidate as yet, so I’ve done Fact to File to ‘win today & CB’ @ 33-1 with Hills. Fingers crossed.

Put my free £5 on The Big Breakaway in the Welsh National (doh), so could do with better news to finish the day.

….well he won but it wasn’t wow. He’s well covered in my book but I’d expect something better out there. HdB has one called ‘Barry The Butcher’ who’s supposed to be decent but it looks wide open to this point.

First run looked a bit green but it ran on well which is a big plus for Cheltenham. He will have a couple more no doubt.
Think that's his second bumper winner only since late October

Lossiemouth best at 6/4 today with WH

….yep, he’s been out and won again yesterday. Looking very good for Triumph so not surprised at the cut. Saying that, Did I Ask You That also ran but got turned over and didn’t look a Champion Bumper candidate. It’s not a bet I’d be wanting to put on at this point, Three Stripe Life is due out in the next few days.

a £1 ew would of been nice

ONE of the biggest-priced winners ever stormed to victory at Taunton - leaving punters in total disbelief.

Inspiratrice, a rank 200-1 outsider who had been beaten a total of 77 lengths in two starts over hurdles, romped home like a good thing for trainer Nicky Martin.
