Horse Racing

Neither does Aintree, tallest fence is The Chair @ 5' 2"
Some of them are preceded in the run up by a 6 foot ditch, and others have very steep drops to them on the other side.

It's a horse killing course.

There's no arguing that point. Even the other fences this year at Aintree have killed again this week.

I think people who like watching that are a bit weird...certainly cruel.

Come on, let's stitch it together...

Too many horses in the National, and too many nasty fences. It's a recipe for dead horses.

The national has made a lot of changes to make it safer for horses over the years.

The fences really aren’t that dangerous anymore. People say it’s taken away from the race, but I think it’s all the better for it.

Last year you had all the favourites going at it to the last fence with very few, if any fallers.

The race the year before that was horrible to watch so big changes needed to be made.

The worry tomorrow is the weather so hopefully all the jockeys are sensible and there’s plenty of water at hand at the end of the race.

...but still horses get killed, so the danger remains doesn't it?
