How do fans protest?

Years ago it was much more simple. If the team didn't perform the gates dropped off, if they continued to fail they dropped off dramatically. There would only be a few thousand season ticket holders then, so less people felt obliged to go, when dissatisfied. The club saw the response, it hit them hard in the pocket and changes were made to rectify it. We were a bigger club in relative terms and mostly could compete financially with all our peers. Now TV money dominates, and footy is booming with full grounds everywhere. More people have had to buy season tickets to guarantee their seats. Even mediocrity pays handsomely, and we chose that throughout decades of managed decline, where our relative wealth and status only fell. When all others around you improve Mediocrity soon gives way to survival. A few clubs set their standards much higher and have become the elite. Some of those were johnny-come-latelys, bankrolled by rich benefactors, but they've all now grown considerably. By comparison we have become a nothing club.... protest should've happened during that process. Until, the new stadium is operational, our only remaining asset of any real value is our (aging) fanbase. Unfortunately, I think we will have play our part again. We look almost as frail as ever. Not sure where the required unity is going to come from though.

Sorry, don't understand what you mean. Took all what away?
Goodison park was never guaranteed a full house - rubbish football fans stayed away - now season ticket holders 100% only a minority of season ticket holders mainly in the grandstands back then even HK was down to 11,000 per gate before the success started .. I was there one night & this fan wanted a light for his cigarette & he had to go 100 yards to get a light :D

Empty stadiums or anything that would hurt their pockets are the most effective in any sport. So many people look forward to match days (not just for sporting reasons) because it is a getaway from real life and just a fun experience so to have that taken away is not an option for some people.

The problem with booing is the players that don’t deserve it will get caught in the crossfire. The only ones who truly deserves booing are Dyche and Moshiri as they are the ones that put the product out. Dyche is under no pressure from Farhad which is the bigger issue in all of this. He can do what he pleases.

The crowd have already paid in a premiership game ...

Good evening fellow fervent toffees. It’s time for something radical to send a message to the club. Let us all do well reasoned adult posts on here and show them this time we’re serious.

How about the Park End do a Braveheart
