3 from me.
I hate the farce that the club pulls off with not announcing the underwhelming last minute signing until the last minute. It's either an act to demonstrate how hard they are working right up until the end or the last throes of some kind of death panic.
I get that they are waiting for other clubs to do business so that targets become available to acquire or shift, but the now annual "kicking the tyres" on a deal we were never likely to do also grates.
I read somewhere that Rodriguez's agent had to convince the board that they weren't shifting the player with a fee and this was in the final few days of the transfer window. Now, this might be so much chat, but it smacks of a DoF and board that haven't got a clue of the market and what was going on.
Finally, what was all that Diaz nonsense about? If you've got the money, put it on the table, if not, then keep sifting through the bargain bins and loan market. Something doesn't add up with the finances that were available this time, back in April the then manager was mad confident we would be spending. Even this week Benitez was suggesting we would "bring 3 or 4 more in". Someone is being misled, either managers and fans or fans by managers.
Whatever. It's a 3. Also, Sky Sports News was an eye gouging, brain melting stream of moronic piffle that deserves to go out of business.
