We might only need 4-5 more points to survive but I think it would be good for everyones confidence to reach 40 points. Ending up with a points total that would relegate us almost every season bar this one, certainly wont be something worth celebrating. We are quickly running out of games. We failed to get the win today so desperately need something from the derby now.

Losing the derby won't send us down. Don't put any hope in getting a point. City and Liverpool are winning all their remaining games.

Lampard is getting around 0.9 pts per game so far. If we include the cup games against prem opposition he's hitting 1 PPG which is the same PPG we were getting before he came in.

If we stay on our current form is 35 or 36 pts come the end of season enough? All depends on Burnley really.

Our last 6 games have us 11th in the Prem League form table and our last 10 has us 15th for form. We were bottom of the table not so long ago. So there is improvement happening, let's hope its enough to get us over the line.

I think 36 points should be enough to stay up I just hope we can keep improving and hit that or more.

I initially said 35-36 points. Given Burnley's easier games, I think we need to finish with around 38 points to be completely safe.

Arsenal on the last day might be chasing top 4 and I'd hate to bank on needing something in that game. We are leaving it really late if we need to get something from the Everton v Brentford, Everton v Crystal Palace in our last two home games. We play 3 of our next 4 away and we have to win an away game. We need 4 points from these 4 games.

How can that be right when we hadnt won over a large run of games under Benitez? I think youre counting the results at the start of the season before reverting to the standard for the rest of his time at the club.

I think the last 5 results under Lampard weve got 7pts so its an upturn.

13 games against Prem opposition and 13 points for Lampard. Benitez had 19 points from 19 Prem games. 1 PPG average.
