How many tries to pass your driving test?

Just paid some lad to pass it for me. The only downside was for the licence photo I needed to grow a beard and wear glasses.


Kidding, it was so long ago, you didn't need a photo.

Passed first time! About 10 minutes in stalled during the three point turn, and thought that was it all over. Test carried on and was told I’d passed, couldn’t believe it!

I had lessons while I was pregnant and my test was due but my son decided to be born 3 months early so had to cancel and never had money to start again

First time then I went home and spent 4 days in bed with flu. I think being sick led to a lack of nerves because I just wanted to go home and sleep.

I had an ex-girlfriend who passed on the 7th time. 7 days later she crashed and ended up in hospital with her leg broken in 7 places. Her lucky number? Guess...

Didn't have a test per se. I took my high school's driver education class and completing it successfully got me my licence.

4th time. Failed twice in Garston, absolute bell of an examiner first time, made me drive past a high school through parked cars 8.30 in the morning with loads of ninjas jumping off the kerb, failed for going too slow.
Next, in the rain, too close to the car in front.
Next fail in Crewe, doing 50 on the Silk road.
When I passed in Crewe, the lad before me failed before he left the compound for not indicating, and not looking both ways pulling onto a one way street

I passed 2nd time (YNWA) but, stupidly, had been driving unlicenced etc. for a few months prior to my test, and also had a motorbike.

Whilst having my lessons the instructor did ask me if I rode a motorbike, when I said "Yes, why do you ask" he said, "Because you keep looking back over your right shoulder before overtaking. You need to stop that" To be honest, I didn't even realise I was doing it

Parked the car in the test centre went into the office. Had to wait a few minutes and then did the written part.
Came out to the car had left the ignition and radio on. Battery was not great and car was as dead as a dodo.
Passer the next time.
