Yes we sent troops over there, but far too late as we were not geared up for a war being gutenteed by Hitler he would not invade any European country after stupidly giving him his old terrifies back from the first World War....without any conflict
To Poland? That's a new one for me. Or, are you talking about the BEF starting to travel to France between the 4th and 9th of September?

We (well, the Allies / France) did have the opportunity to strike a real blow during the Saar Offensive, but for well known reasons we didn't take the advantage.

Wath the history channel lol

The ONE thing you should not do is rely on what you see on the History Channel! For years I've been batting away the garbage that that Channel has put out as 'fact'. Get onto the track of real researchers and their works, not the smart-ass, think they know it all, clowns who work on such documentaries...
Are you saying ‘Ancient Aliens’ isn’t entirely based on fact? :(

What!!! Even “Hitlers Henchmen”?

Peter is alluding to certain things propagated by that Channel. Things which are patently not true. I can only speak of the area of research that I have been heavily involved in, and I gave up on that Channel when it just culled decades-old false information and myths. Other programmes, such as the one you mention, necessarily give decent info re the top strata in the Third Reich. But on other matters...

Got to say, I really rather like 'Abandoned Engineering'. And Olivier is always kick ass on 'the world at war'.

'Abandoned Engineering' is an excellent factual insight to what seems now rather strange things. And Olivier's delivery across the whole 'World at war' series is simply magnificient. It is also excellent, because it deals in facts, not 'what ifs'and 'maybes'. I am old enough to remember the series when it first aired on TV.

Britain stood up to Nazi Germany which led to the latter’s defeat. What happened as a consequence of that is probably very sad but better than many other alternatives …
