How predictable is Moyes?

Im guessing 2-1 tomorrow

Howard, Neville, Distin, Jagielka, Baines, Coleman, Fellaini, Rodwell, Billy, Cahill, Saha

Barkley comes on for the winner

I never understand the critisim of Moyes being predictable, i can understand if he was picking from a Utd or City squad but FFS, we prob have about 18 firt team players for the season do the maths.

i dont really care `slong as we win. its the dire tripe that has bugged me in the opening games - maybe the injuries were a factor but the passion was non-existant- and thats unforgiveable. he needs to get the boys up for it at the start of a game so a pattern of so-so mediocrity doesnt null any optimism.

Sums it up for me.Moyes has a formula that keeps us in the division (mostly in a healthy position)It's a simple choice of expansive football and possible relegation with the squad we have,or more of the same.God knows it pains me.My first game was watching us rip Blackpool 5-0 Young and Vernon rampant, but that was then.We just have to face facts....and support.

Well we haven't always had 18 have we?

And even now with 18 plus several kids still makes over 20 players to pick and choose from.

And as someone said earlier, its not just picking the same players week in week out, its picking the same certain players regardless of form and the same formation regardless of players or opposition.

I think the thread is a bit misleading, he isn't completly 100% predictable of course, its just fairly safe to say most people after wtaching Everton for just a few games can figure out how we will play and what players wil play where unless in jury or suspension dictates a change.

Not a bad thing having a solid core to a team, but he doesn't change things off his own back very often.

To be fair Moyes looked a hell of a lot more cheerful in his latest press conference. I just hope that smile remains at full time today!

It should be something like this for Liverpool saturday, but it probably wont...

Howard
Baines, jags, distan, Hibbert,
Osman, fellani, Barkley, drente,
Cahill,
Saha

I would use Coleman as an impact sub unless Cahills injured, then move Ossie more forward

hibbert at left back and baines at right back. Radical.

Howard

Neville Jags Distin Baines

Coleman Fellaini Rodwell Drenthe

Osman

Saha

(presumably cahill is injured. Osman is creative anyway so its important he plays in a position he can be most productive.)

He's the only manager in the world where, if you asked him to pick a number between 1 and 100, you'd know exactly what number he'd pick every time once you'd heard his first answer.

I like this line up, its a lot neater then mine and the players are in the right positions! just as long as he doesn't play Neville in midfield again
