Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has stripped Robin van Persie of penalty duties after Saturday's miss cost his side against West Brom.

Asked if Van Persie would continue as first-choice penalty taker, Van Gaal said: "No. He is now at the end of the road."

We do this at our club. You keep taking them until you miss, then you're at the bottom of the pile.

Never missed a penalty, but I was injured for a couple of games and a teammate took over and scored one, then continued to take them even after I came back. Robbed!

Ha, can't you arrange a little "accident" so you reclaim what is rightfully yours?

Was saying on another thread it seemed a bit harsh to me, at the very least a keeper is going to guess correctly every so often.

It's moved onto the next guy now, still moan about it in the sheds but they rightfully tell me to do one

Appears to be a few tips on the "if your friend owes you" thread that you might want to try if you really want to be reinstated, I may of read it wrong but think a box of croissants and a lego set should sort things out

Well I have seen a team mate tackle another team mate in front of an open goal because he didn't want him to score, so that could be an idea!
