The amount of injuries they have is crazy, all them kids playing last night, in this crucial game, just shows how bad their recruitment has been.
I can see the cheque book coming out in January.

Such a nasty injury to Shaw was very bad luck but otherwise a lot of their injuries have been fairly predictable - Jones/Smalling have been regulars in the physio room for years, Shaw struggled for fitness last season as did Rojo. The amount of injuries they have is crazy, all them kids playing last night, in this crucial game, just shows how bad their recruitment has been.
This was the United team that finished the game: De Gea, Borthwick-Jackson, Smalling, Blind, Varela, Carrick, Fellaini, Lingard, Powell, Depay, Martial
That has got to be the worst united team in my life time (21 years) at least.
That's because we are a trophies drenched club. What a fantastic manager SAF was but 20 odd years we won two CL's is relatively average for such fantastic manager.
I just don't see why anyone would expect so much from van gaal then. He is not that type of manager. He has and never will be a trophie winning manager and maybe the availability of such managers is the thing keeping our supporters looking over their shoulders.
oh yeah, different expectations...what Ferguson brought was success and lovely football, he deserves to be remembered as among the very best in the world. Van Gaal is a results man who clings to the (false) idea he created modern tiki-taka 15 years ago. He's like a more arrogant Sam Allardyce who's dice just got really lucky.
Still, not conceding a goal in your last 6 home games isn't just one way of interpreting it, it's evidence of a really sound defence game. If the attack clicks and the rest holds, then the fans will easily forget their booing.
If Depay performs this poorly over the season could they be open to offers....?

Not.necessarily for us, just that he'd be considered a £20mil+ flop and LVG may choose to move him on.
Surprised Fellaini is still there also.
Moyes had feck all to do with any CL progress that season. That was down to the senior players, the likes of Evra, Vidic, RVP. We've seen similar happen at Chelsea (Di Matteo, Grant).
Hmm there are still senior players with lots of experience in the squad. Carrick, Rooney etc. Why aren't those players helping Utd get through what ought to be an easier group?Moyes had feck all to do with any CL progress that season. Including Schweinsteiger, an LVG purchase, who is captain of his national team and has a World Cup medal - yet he was one of the worst on the pitch last night.Hmm there are still senior players with lots of experience in the squad.
