How stupid are Manu?

Was trying to work out Schweinsteiger myself last night.
He's basically a more robust, but less fit Carrick, but with less passing ability.
He's basically an old knackered James McCarthy who gets forward a bit more.

Moyes had feck all to do with any CL progress that season. That was down to the senior players, the likes of Evra, Vidic, RVP. We've seen similar happen at Chelsea (Di Matteo, Grant).

If Moyes had nothing to do with the progress then logically he had nothing to do with the failures either and sacking him was utterly irrational and illogical.

He did kind of seem like he was just along for the ride. It felt like he didnt have much control over anything there.

I think he's going to be top class.

The thing is, both him and Martial i thought would start off really well but then with LVG's rigid system would gradually lose confidence and become "robotic".

Under Martinez where they have far more freedom i think they would be doing really well and for Martial its a shame he didnt join us on loan 2 januarys ago as i think he could have gone the same way as Deulofeu.

I wonder if after the Di Maria situation where he had problems even before his house was burgled we may see Depay hankering for a move and perhaps even LVG would accept a bid similar to what they paid out which i think was £25mil?

Id love to see him at Everton if there was a chance of getting him but otherwise was just pondering whether he may be off end of the season...

According to most, Memphis is still a kid. Give him time to prove his worth. Sometimes a kid goes through a rough spell in a new place before proving he's the Catalan sex you've been waiting for. Obviously Memphis isn't Catalan, but give give him time before you brand him a bust.

I disagree that the squad is paper thin.

Its unbalanced...despite having time to strengthen in the weak areas theyve overloaded with some positions and weak in others...numbers wise.

Look at Right back similar situation to us...centre forward again similar to us...

Such a nasty injury to Shaw was very bad luck but otherwise a lot of their injuries have been fairly predictable - Jones/Smalling have been regulars in the physio room for years, Shaw struggled for fitness last season as did Rojo.

So having Jones/Smalling/Rojo/Blind as their only experienced CBs was always going to be a risk with the number of competitions they are in, especially since the latter two are also cover for LB.

LVG has concentrated on getting out a lot of the "deadwood" from the squad but it has left it paper thin.

I don't even know where to put this but when United are on and the announcers call him 'Memphis', it irks me. There are other players with their first names on the back of their kit but the announcers call them by their last name. But a United player? Let's be 'hip'.

So petty, I know..
