How stupid are Manu?

Their defence is awful.

Rafael is ok, nothing special.

Smalling / Jones / Evans are mid-table fodder at best.

Shaw is decent but very overrated imo. He's NEVER scored a goal(!), isn't physically imposing, is apparently overweight and gets much fewer assists than Coleman.

Rojo I have no idea.

And that's it! lol

De Gea is also so-so for me. Rather have T-How.

Rafael is a walking red card. Their centre backs are very average. Rojo may never get a work permit which leaves Shaw at a vastly inflated fee.

And he goes & spends money elsewhere! Feel sorry for Mata as he's going to be the odd one out (again)

I am still pinching myself. Di Maria AND Falcao in the space of 14 days. I can't wait for the game v QPR, we really mean business it seems. Another transfer window and we're going to be ready to challenge for titles again, I hope.

I don't think you can use the 'You just spend your way to the top' at city anymore mate.

There's a huge difference. We are spending money that WE GENERATE as a club. We have no sugar daddy.

City were a club bought by a billionaire who then just threw money at the club hoping it would turn out well, which it did.

Surely you can see the difference here?

Spending money is spending money. They had many bad years and as you say a billionare threw money into them, but on the other hand utd have had one poor season and done the same.
I was on about spending large amounts of money not how the money is generated. although i was only pulling your leg with my post.

We know what you mean. But by the looks of it you guys are falling behind of them ...fast.

It is crazy that your dynasty was destroyed by the Same man that created it.

Not trying to be mean or anything.

We have fallen behind Man City. But it's not panic stations yet. And Fergie let our squad rot, so yes, there's a certain irony there!

I am as happy as a pig in poo today though, no oppo supporter will spoil that. We've just gone out and bought Di Maria and Falcao - I never thought we'd actually do it!

I read a good article in the Telegraph this morning saying that United have made a huge statement with these signings. We mean business and are determined not to fall away.

The harsh truth is that money talks in football now. We have been spoilt with success on the field for many years, built the stadium, built up our fanbase, but we never made the HUGE signings like Chelsea, City, Real Madrid and Barcelona were. Yet we label ourselves as 'the biggest club in the world' (which is rubbish because Real Madrid are bigger than us.) But now, at last, we're laying down a marker - we're getting in players that WOULD get into the Real Madrid and Barcelona first 11.

We still have work to do. People keep harping on about "LOL BUT THEY ARE STILL UP [Poor language removed] CREEK WITHOUT A PADDLE, THEY HAVE NO DEFENDERS LOL!11111111111" etc. But we tried to sign Hummels and he wants to stay at Dortmund for 1 more year. You simply don't turn down players like Di Maria and Falcao just because you didn't land a top centre back - and is Di Maria better than Valencia and Young? Will he strengthen us? Yes. Will Falcao score goals? Is he better than Wayne Rooney, Welbeck, Hernandez? Yes.

Our full strength first 11 this time last season:

Our full strength first 11 as of today:

We've strengthened considerably. We now have energy in midfield with Di Maria and Herrera. An intelligent sitting midfielder in Blind. Shaw has the potential to be one of the best left back's in the league.

Falcao is incredible in front of goal. Rooney the jury is out on - I personally think his best days are long gone which is probably why we couldn't afford to miss out on Falcao.

I reckon in January we'll sign Strootman from Roma for midfield, another CB maybe and we'll ship out the remaining rubbish.

What a load of tosh.

The Glazers are sugar daddies every bit as much as Mansoor is.

Your club has whored itself to any passing billionaire with enough money.

The Coolmore boys before the Glazers.

And before that Martin Edwards was quite prepared to sell to the preposterous Michael Knighton when he thought he had the wherewithal.

The bleating of United fans is pathetic.

A quarter of a billion quid spent in twelve months.

I would say that us more than the "sugar daddies" combined have spent.

In the meantime you better hope all this over the odds, panic buying pays off.

Clubs are wise to United now a d every player they buy is coming at a vastly inflated price and the wage bill will drown them.

Oh my days. Do SUGAR DADDIES send your club INTO DEBT like the Glazers have with ours?

What bitter, bitter, drivel. If you lot had just signed the players we have, you'd be happy as I am. Instead you'll just spout any old rubbish to fufill your agendas.

Sugar daddies lavish largesse on the objects of their desire.....and United's sugar daddies have lavished a quarter of a billion quid on their wee pet thus past twelve months.

And they still don't look a patch on Chelsea and Citeh.

United are becoming a laughing stock.

If this blows up in their faces there will be another new manager in this time next year.

Be honest, you're just unhappy that other clubs throw the money around when Everton don't. You'd be happy if every club just stood still, so Everton could catch up.

That isn't the real world mate.

I think I can. You have a million glory hunters buying replica shirts.
