I don't think Baines has even been in our top three players this season. In fact, I'd say he's been below-par in at least half of the games. Imagine he hadn't scored those free kicks against West Ham: what two or three pieces of play stand out? I can't think of any.

Barry has been excellent, Lukaku too, and Howard.

I'd say those three, then probably Barkley, Distin and McCarthy. Then we can look at Baines.

In any case, going off the first eleven games, would you say he's performing at the level a 20m left back should be?

I might be an unorthodox Evertonian, but I don't think he is, judging by his performances this season. If this keeps on going I'd quite happily take the 15-20m and buy a left fullback more suitable for RM's playing style.

Fair weather fans get on my tits to be honest... The man has set very very high standards for himself over the years....this season we have everything new around the club.....manager, players, systems, tactics...... So maybe he's not reached his normal high standards yet this season..... But I don't think he's let us down either..... Yet fans like you want to sell straight away..... Well played lad xxxx

20m is alot of dough, not even considering it would be silly.

But like I said, I guess I'm unorthodox. I'm not as impressed with Baines as you are.

Yeah cos you totally judge a player on 10 games in 1 season.

I recall watching Ronaldo playing for United early in his career, he was fcking rank.

And dat Messi fella, I would he was pyar tosh at 16.
