No, that's not the logic at all.

Firstly, it's two different positions. A 'keeper is much less involved in general play than an outfield player, therefore a mistake is correspondingly a lot more meaningful.

Leading on for that, conversion rate IS a key stat for a striker, but it doesn't have to be 100% obviously - even 50% for a striker is very, very good.

But if a 'keeper only catches a ball 50% of the time it's very, very bad. That's the difference.

would love vorm from swansea, excellent shot stopper and very comfortable passing the ball from the back. i think our defence is looking shaky because they've lost confidence in howard, knowing they have a good keeper behind them would improve their confidence. like i said he should be dropped after his performances this season, sadly the backup it's terrible as well. people called me out last week because i slated him after the newcastle game, but i rightly applauded him after the swansea game, he was excellent. but we had a lot of these games in the first half of last season where tim had sweet FA to do and then he'd let in the only shot of the match. anyone wishing to disagree with me saying spurs' best 3 keepers are better than him are welcome

Lloris is, Friedel is about on a par, Gomes most certainly isn't. That's not to say Howard is excellent; it's just that Gomes is even more prone to a mistake than Howard is.
 
Howard's a good keeper, but by no means perfect.

Is he a Champions League team keeper ? Probably not.
Is he a Europa League team keeper ? Yea, I'd say he is.

He makes me nervous sometimes, but as a small dose of Mucha gives me diarrohea, and as we have limited funds, I think I'm happy to stick with Howard.

Agreed. Marking was atrocious. Or were you putting this one solely on Howard too.
