Lineker that season: yes. Kanchelskis undoubtedly. Rooney- not at that stage. He was very good, very exciting and full of promise, but would he have walked into the top European teams? Not so sure.
He actually went to one of the top European teams, and scored a hat trick on his Manchester United debut in his first game back from injury.

Prior to that had terrorised every defence he came up against (including the much vaunted French) and made team of the tournament at the 2004 Euros.

..that will be a shame. He has the ability to carry the ball directly at defenders and we’re desperately lacking that from central positions.
Just having him on the pitch is a start. We'll see. I'm fully expecting an unchanged side (bar injury) from last weeks win against Newcastle.

We should be picking up at least 6 points from these last 3 games. Anything less is woeful.

I want to see some adventure today. If we dont see some attacking intent today we never will.

if the Vlasic rumour is true. Just shows how inept Allardyce is.

He goes from players being nowhere near the squad to starting, must be the third/fourth time he's not used Vlasic in a good amount of games and suddenly started him?!

Im not saying Vlasic shouldn't play, just absolutely bizarre.

Bolasie was appalling on Monday and deserves to be dropped.

He looks as though he’s striggling with confidence at the moment, undeservedly receiving a lot of stick too considering he’s back from a bad injury.
