No probably not because people are generally sheep when it comes to clothes, its hard to break preconceived notions over here especially in Liverpool. Its not like they tried to market over here and failed though, they just didn't bother. They tend not to bother with a lot of stuff, very laid back, I think that's why I like them.

Exactly, that’s my point. People wear the big brands to fit in, especially kids (who are the main people who buy kits etc.) and therefore the club would sell more kits, merchandise and all that if they were to go with a big name brand. They’re limiting themselves going with Hummel.

The less desirable our kit makers and sponsors, the less money we make from merchandise and sponsorship. The less money we make, the worse the players we can sign. This public service announcement is brought to you by the stating the bleeding obvious brigade.

Improve revenue streams to get around FFP, and Denise has come up with this prime piece of business

Nike, Adidas, Reebok, they're all tacky sportswear brands. We should be looking at Gucci, or Hugo Boss at least.

I’m sure a few will be and like I said, I’m sure it will look smart.

But the average kid in Liverpool, who wants to fit in with his mates and ‘look the part’, isn’t going to be wearing Hummel, he’ll be in Nike, Adidas, NB, Under Armour or Puma. And that’s we’re the clubs missing a trick.

All Liverpool fans look like meffs in their merch anyway.

To be honest I think the merch comes later, if the club is successful the stuff will sell regardless. If we are crap like we are now it wont. You wouldn't have seen a Manchester City or Chelsea kit years ago either regardless of the manufacturer.

I remember Hummel doing the Real Madrid kits in the 80s and a lad in our school had the top come to think of it! I was always jealous as it seemed so exotic back then.

We're not going to sign a player off the back of merchandise sales. And it looks like nobody is happy unless its nike.
I'll be honest im old enough now not to care about wearing something with a brand name. It never bothered me when i was younger wearing any brand that had Everton on it. We need to be pulling in trophies first. The kit supplier isnt going to change that.

But who makes the Man City and Chelsea stuff now that they are successful? They both binned Umbro off just as they started to achieve on the field. Why’s that? Because they make more money being associated with Nike & Puma

If the club gets a fashionable kit manufacturer, we sell more kits & merchandise... which makes more money, gets around FFP and can then be reinvested in the team, increasing the likelihood that we could be successful.

Liverpool’s one of the most fashion conscious cities in the world, no ones going to be buying Hummel trackies here anytime soon.
