Spot on about his self serving press conferences.

I`m sure if you analysed every single one he`d done as a manager over 20 yrs, you wouldn`t find a single one in which he does anything other than blame others and praise himself.

He didn`t show an ounce of contrition or humility, when he got his grubby mitts caught in the Ingerland till, so he`s hardly going to start now is he lol
I just remember things he's said at other clubs. Winds fans right up. You have to be winning to be cocky....

Anyway, we're safe now. Would we have been safe without him is another argument and we'll probably never know, but it's time to move on. It's quite depressing reading his thread...as is the transfer window thread. We're just up in limbo at the moment.

Back on topic. I might change by vote to Fonseca...he is ridiculously good looking.

Part of me asks, what else would he say? If he says nothing, or hints that he won't be here, he's admitting he's gone, and his ego wouldn't allow that.
He's always done daft press conferences. We just notice it more now cos he's here.
Understand some of that but feel that the club could stop the speculation, every time you see anything linked in the press it's someone, ex player saying he will be gone, I presume most of the other forums are with a majority on him needing to go.

Everton are the worst communicators in the known universe. Besides, depite what we feel about Allardyce, it would be very naughty and unprofessional of the club to publicly slate him....especially after he's done what they asked him to do...and no more.
As others have said, there's enough noises being made in and around the club to suggest he's getting the elbow.

Errrm King, Joyce, Hunter and Bascombe have all relatively recently ran articles hinting strongly that he will be off in the summer and we are already either looking or in discussions with replacements mate, club ambassador Sharpie - has stated on radio twice in 3 days he believes he will be off this summer.

What more do you need to see/hear before you realise these are handled stories fed to them from within the club?
How about the owner or Chairman, not some hack in as newspaper, I think when it actually comes from the club that I will believe he won't be here.

I have a feeling Moshiri tells ex-players the same as he tells us...nothing.

Don't think the club would need to slate him, just a statement that they have decided to go to another direction next season have reached a mutual agreement with him and thank him for his services

I just want a hybrid of Martinez, all he needs to have is a plan B that involves knowing how to set up a defence.Could be Fonseca? Doubt it's Silva.

Just not how we roll mate. If that decision has been made, it'll be announced at the end of the season.

There's still points...and possibly places up for grabs.

From memory, I can`t recall a club slating their manager in public, it`s just not done.

There`s so many other ways of doing it :

The drip drip of negativity from the press.

The drip drip of constantly being linked to other managers in the press.

The vote of confidence.

Silence.

Then there`s the behind the scenes stuff, that we`re not privy too.

The statement re parting of the ways, will come at the very end of the season / possibly the game before > Martinez.
