Did you know he's only ever managed teams that play in blue?

When he managed them he ordered them to play in this all the time.

So you’re saying he’s one of those managers who has no control over players and they just ignore his instructions ? I’m not sure if that’s what we need at the club .

So clearly the consensus seems to be Fonseca, I have to ask why? What's he prooven? Will he adapt to the premier league? If we take him on then does he get the time to adjust to the league that's required or does he get sacked after 10 games because we simply can't afford to give him the time he needs?

For me he is an unknown and I think for the majority of fans who have him as there first choice he is unknown just some foreign fashionable name.

It's time the club made an ambitious move, it's time for direction from Moshiri. If he's here to do what he he has indocated that he is here to build the club up then make an ambitious move and pay the money to make it happen! Sick of small time Everton!

I think the more pertinent questions are why would he come here when he'll have a choice of teams to pick through?, and why would he come to a club that needs to have a complete overhaul of its squad?

Never in a million years will he arrive here. No decent manager will.

Silva is a very good compromise for us now. He's available and free.

We need a long term appointment, not a disloyal mercenary who will down tools as soon as a better option comes along

What he did at Watford was disgusting. We don't need someone like that attached to our club

We've already had two charlatans in a row, we don't need a third
What was disgusting that he did at Watford? Stuck with his club and not walk out?

You're confused here I think.

I think the opportunity to completely overhaul the squad would be very attractive to most managers coming in. Stamp your name on it and get in the players you really want. If we were able to sign him I'd see that as a great sign that big money is going to be made available to him. Whereas if we got somebody like Silva in, i.e. the cheap option, then that'd be a sign for me of the old gang sticking around which would be very concerning.

On your second point, which makes my first comment a completely moot point, I thoroughly agree that we won't get him.

He's only become the cheap option as he's now without a club. Just a few months ago we were willing to chuck £12 mil at Watford just to get him and then, I assume, pay him a healthy salary as well. I think any manager coming in will get funds.

If I was a manager/DoF I'd think long and hard about the job. An owner who meddles, a poor squad, and a fanbase that's restless.

He wanted a move, didn't get it, so sulked and downed tools Dave

He also bailed on Hull the minute they got relegated

Contrast that with Dyche, who got relegated, stuck with his club, got them back up and is now looking to qualify them for Europe on a shoestring budget

I know who I'd rather have at Everton
