Silva for Spurs? Not a chance, big club, top players, new stadium, they will be going for a top manger if they change, unlike us

You would think so but I'm not sure. There is the view expressed amongst fans about Silva which is generally cautious or veering to negative, but there may be an alternative view within the game that us folk are not privvy to that he is rated highly. There are degrees of certainty on a sliding scale about every candidate, but Levy strikes me as the sort of person who will thoroughly do his homework and would be ready to take a calculated risk if he thought it worthy.

It's stating the obvious, but I think as much research and consultation as possible should be done before making an appointment, but I don't think that is yet the case with Everton, particularly with competing interests. If Spurs interest in Silva was genuine though, then I would take that view seriously and would feel it makes him a much more attractive candidate generally.

Podcast discussing Everton's future with supposed itk info from 33.25 on. No idea how credible these journalists are but it's interesting.

  • One thinks Sam is def gone
  • The other claims Silva has been approached
  • Silvs thinks the job is his if he wants it
  • Silva has ruled himself out of other jobs accordingly
  • No contract has yet been offered to Sillva
  • It may not happen as there's no one clearly in charge at EFC
  • The power is divided between Kenright and Moshiri and there's no shared vision on how to proceed
  • Unless and until Moshiri exercises his buyout option or a clear power structure emerges the club may be allowed to drift along in mid table until the end of next season without the wholesale changes everyone wants
Edit: Thanks to Neil A.
This seems to sum up EFC at the moment. No vision, no plan, in fighting amongst the board, only manager mentioned is Silva ffs, managed mediocrity in fact. Something is rotten in the state of Everton and we as fans are lumbered with the situation. If this is allowed to continue, we will never again reach the heights of which we were once capable and continue as also rans in the Prem or even worse. Moshiri needs to take charge properly, bang heads together and come up with a plan to take us forward. Unfortunately, nothing I have seen so far suggests that he is capable of doing that
