Silva would just be so underwhelming if he was to come in. I'd give him my support but I don't see the fascination with a manager who relegated one team and had the second most goals conceded with another even before we started looking at him.

100% this - it proves Moshiri goes for flavour of the month. That can be a good thing at times (like getting a future Pochettino or going for Wenger in the summer) but also can stop us from actually scouting a good up and coming manager like Pochettino before he came to Spurs etc.

He sounds perfect for us then....

There's literally no manager Everton can get atm that we won't have reservations about. All of the realistic candidates have question marks against their names. For me, it's just as important that we get the right network around the manager. The DoF etc. If the next manager is Silva, I'm personally happy enough. I like his counter attacking style and it appears players want to play for him. He has a bit of a knack of getting the best out of lads and we desperately need someone who can get more out of what we have.

But more than anything I just want someone I can get behind. If it is Silva he'll have my backing and I'm more than willing to give him time.

Whoever it is, they`ve got a monumental job ahead of them and are going to need at least one season, more than likely two, to sort out the mess we`re in right now.

Same Adam, sadly I just feel loads will take their feelings forward and not give the next manager a fair crack at the whip.

The Koeman case in point, hes been sacked for over 6months and just yesterday people were discussing his time at Valencia in 2008.

People just cant let go.

Me I back the manager, I hated Martinez prior to him joining, I backed the clown, I hated Koeman, I backed the clown, im not a big Silva fan, but I will back him, I despise Rafael tho, I would never back him, mans gotta have a code.

So you'll be a Silvaback?

Hahahahahahahahhahaha etc

I think he gets a bum rap on here.

There was a home six-pointer that he lost at Hull, which ultimately sent them down, but other than that I've been generally impressed with him. I'd certainly get behind his appointment.
Do you enjoy watching Watford on their long run without a win before he was sacked? Three months or so - 11 matches

They literally downed tools at Watford when he tried to work his ticket after SEVEN games. The man is a snake.

You will back him because we have no choice, but it won't make it any better a move.
At least there was reason for going for Moyes, at the time, back when we were skint. Even Martinez there was logical reason, maybe Koeman to a lesser extent, but after the influx of money we have had recently, to even think about Silva just shows we are pretty much accepting we are a mid table small club at best and aspire to be nothing more.
No establshed top level club would touch him.

*sigh*

It's actually going to be Silva isn't it?
If that carpet bagger has any sort of consistency of thought whatsoever, yes.

...and rightly so.

He's a good manager and deserves a chance at managing a level up or two in England than he's been given. It's essential we have someone with PL experience IMO.
