He would be a top choice for me:-

A leader -Captain of Everton & Arsenal, even though he was only at the latter for a short period of time before being give the arm band.
He is multilingual - Spanish, Basque, Catalan English, French, Italian and Portuguese
Currently learning from the one of the greatest managers in the world.
UEFA A Coach

Worth a chance? or do we want someone with experience?

With Wenger as director of football, i’d definitely go for that.

Not that it would happen like.

When he was on tv for the Newcastle game he said he’d change nothing about his time at Everton, which tells you a lot about his delusional outlook.
Which is why I wouldn't have him near the first team again. He's stubborn and lacks the pragmatism to make a top coach. But I couldn't fault his vision for the club. Plus, before things turned against him near the end of his third year, everybody I know who has connections to the club (ie either themselves or family/friends working at the club or FF) all said what a great place it was to work. Which was almost a complete opposite to what it was like under Moyes previously, and Allerdyce and particularly Koeman since.

You're right, it's far better to go out first hurdle and have no dreams. It's not like we had a manager who could win one...

...hold on..
Was that before or after he got relegated

The terrible decision Moshiri made after sacking Martinez was to just cast around the PL and settle an admiring glance on Koeman because he'd got Southampton to 6th, but who's style and way of working was completely at odds to the way this club was set up. That's been the source of our problems. That and Moshiri's insistence on a DoF meaning there's been no oversight of (nor accountability for) terrible purchasing decisions made.

But this is exactly what he also has done for Silva, and nothing more, only the Silva move is miles worse as at least Koeman did have something going in his favor and was rated by a few, but with SIlva there is nothing

No, "no idea". Just won a trophy with an ale house team, handed us our biggest PL points total and now manages a top international outfit at the world cup.

Perhaps you'd care to explain how that amounts to "No idea how to play football"?

Got Wigan relegated and us 2 11 th place finishes plus a bad home record

Seems that Arteta is the bookies favourite to become Arsenal manager (completely randomly if you ask me)

Wouldn't coming to us be a better appointment for him? Not having to replace a legend, fans expectations down in the dirt, affinity with the club etc?
I’d only take Arteta if he explains where the money went.

We have to settle on a more progressive style of football and stick with it. That's the issue. Martinez should have been followed by another manager who can set his teams up to play. A succession. Now we have to go back again and ditch the hoofball in order to establish our team as one capable of playing football. If not Silva then some other manager who can coach our players to be comfortable with the ball at their feet is required and then we stick with that style.

Walked out on us and acted like a prick when he returned playing for Arsenal.
