I Hate Phil Neville

Hate is too strong a term.

But then I'm firmly in the not arsed category for Neville. Came and done a job.

Obviously he's no Watson or Ratcliffe for me like.

This basically. Not his fault he was given the extra contract. He knew he was out so he did what he could for his career.

NEA Pip lad

I think he gave everything for us. 100 percent every game. Maybe at the end he wasn't good enough but he always was professional. I was just disappointed when he left he seemed to act like he never played for us. Ah well maybe that's how it is now.

Is this going to be one of those pineapple on pizza type threads where admitting to like old pip would lead to being pointed out as a bad rapscallion?

I liked our old skipper and would shake his hand, as long as it was clean and not wrapped around his appendage at the time.

Fairly impartial to him , think it might be because he's first and foremost a red , not the best not the worse player. Not his fault he was getting picked for the team though.
Interesting he didn't get the boot at united the other week , moyes must surely be suspicious about that I'd thought.

A Mr Gerrard has the police turn up at his house having called them to report a burglary, he goes on to explain he has had some cash, phones, designer watches and his 3 premier league winner medals stolen.
The police officer tells him "You are no Phil Neville lad".

He came in, did a proper job, and retired at least with his dignity intact. He's first and foremost a red so I can understand.

Good luck to him with the power-wrestling for the Gang of 92' against Van Gaal or any other red manager who will walk on Moyes' road.

As in really hate him. As in I wouldn't shake his hand if I met him.

And he's a past Everton captain.

This makes me feel weird when I think about it. Like, I think I'd actually hug Dave Watson given the chance. Not because he won the FA Cup or anything but because he was Everton captain.

So actually despising an Everton captain makes me feel bloody weird. Does anyone feel the same way, or am I really that odd?

And I have no problem with people calling me odd so go for it haha

The way he responded to the Rhys Jones killing puts him beyond hate for me, mate. He was a model pro whose dediction made those around him pull their socks up and up their game, in my opinion. Ace pointing finger, too.

Neville was the one who told everyone they were going.
