I Hate Phil Neville

In a sport that seems to have more of its fair share of bells and idiots, he always seemed a decent bloke.

The episode at Utd recently made me think twice about that though.

Never really got what it meant to be at Everton in my opinion, epitomised by his "fantastic achievement to be in the top half" comments.

If his footballing ability matched his rallying calls he's have been world class.

Average player but I never doubted his commitment to the club. I don't hate him but I don't miss him either.

Seeing him at center mid in the last 2 years was heart breaking

The pens against Utd at wembley and Chelsea get him a fair amount of credit from me. Glad we have both moved on. A penny for Moyes' thoughts though!

As in really hate him. As in I wouldn't shake his hand if I met him.

And he's a past Everton captain.

This makes me feel weird when I think about it. Like, I think I'd actually hug Dave Watson given the chance. Not because he won the FA Cup or anything but because he was Everton captain.

So actually despising an Everton captain makes me feel bloody weird. Does anyone feel the same way, or am I really that odd?

And I have no problem with people calling me odd so go for it haha

Really dislike him, league one footballer playing week in week out for the blues. He gave 100% but so would everyone on this forum.

I dont hate him though, he didnt pick himself, but the fact hes a grass, has stupid hair and the top 10 comments make me dislike him. Im glad he's gone.

Limited footballer, but he didn't pick himself did he... never going to make anybody's hall of fame blue or manc, model pro or so is said
not quite as interesting as steve davis, nearly but not quite.

Didn't care for him and he ruined my weekends for ages by appearing in centre mid, at the point when he wouldn't have even started CM for championship teams.

His comments to belittle us and the fact he was a bad teacher's pet doesn't help.
