Helps if your main striker didn’t break the law mindThere's 12 games to go. There is hope if the players that matter grow some cojones.
If we can get a result v Newcastle it will lift a massive weight off the club the players and fans, then Suddenly things look a lot better, this will then be a domino effect with confidence
That won’t fix their lack of talent and ability to not suck. There's 12 games to go. There is hope if the players that matter grow some cojones.
Weirdly those are games, bar the Shyte, that we’re likely to scrape something from.Conversely if we lose to Newcastle, our following four games are West Ham away, Utd at home, Mordor away Chelsea at home. I can’t see us getting any points out of those four games.
Well given our away form, thats nothing more than a fools hopeWeirdly those are games, bar the Shyte, that we’re likely to scrape something from.
Burnley and Watford away are our season definers.
I’ll take that as a compliment?Well given our away form, thats nothing more than a fools hope
Them getting Bamforth back is huge for them tooJust watched Leeds on MOTD and their players were fighting for their club and their fans.
What cant ours do the same?
It’s exactly what Newcastle will try on Thursday, but we need to fight with everything that we haveThe players are clearly trying their best. They’re just not good enough - we are paying the price for years of inept recruitment.
Now we fans need to try our best.
It’s no coincidence that when Frank first came in and we fans were getting right behind the players the performances were different. After we thrashed Leeds their winger Daniel James said we had been like a 12th man and had really given our players the edge.
But when we fans are negative we’re REALLY negative. And that undoubtedly destroys the confidence of our players.
I remember being at the Wimbledon game in ‘94 and the fans really knew what was required that day. The enthusiasm and encouragement lifted the players. We needed that against Wolves and we didn’t really see it, apart from maybe the first half an hour of the match. As the Watford goalkeeper said the other week, we Everton fans are often seen as an asset… to the opposition!
