I like him, but he’s rubbish in possession and having Davies next to him today, we still didn’t have enough craft in there. Probably the best two we can play until we get Gomes playing, if he ever does.

Not good enough. Has to be one of the worst passers of a ball in the PL. He's just rank.

People comparing this feller favourably with McCarthy. Obviously never kicked a ball in their lives.

If people can't see the chaos Gueye is causing in our defensive ranks due to his wayward square balls then maybe they need a new sport.

You can't keep going on about him winning the ball back while completely ignoring him giving the ball away continually with us not ready for the transition. You don't play aimlessly square with advanced full backs. It's school boy errors from Gueye. A championship player.

Tbf have any of you stats gimps got his passing data to hand for the last 12 months because I reckon he's floating around the bottom 20% for in the league?

His job should be simply to mop up and release short 5 yard passes to players who can carry the ball better. He did the first half of that well today. Someone asked me the other day if he resembled Kante and I literally lol'd at them.
 
Mad how he gets a pass from everyone because he gets about.

Has been a central part of one of the worst, most stagnant, crabby , spines that we’ve ever had.
 
I put it in the match thread but statistically, he was the best player on the pitch defensively. And that backs up what I thought watching the game.

On the ball, he was poor.
