Just when it looks like were putting together a proper team one of the most important players gets injured in an international match against Sudan. Worry about the balance of the team if the injury is anything serious.

The midfield will be an absolute mess unless Gomes steps in and forms a decent partnership with Davies/Schneiderlin right away. I don't feel good about it.

Absolutely despise international breaks. A lot of these international managers couldn't give a toss how they use and send the players back to their clubs and why would they when its not their problem for most of the year around. Only got to look at that scumbag Martin O'neill to see that as he doesn't even try to hide it.

Would suit me fine if internationals were all scrapped. Hard to support a bunch of players that you spend most of the year wanting to fail when they are playing against your own team and players.

Anyway, hope the injury isn't too serious.

We have none. He’s easily the most important player we have. We just aren’t the same without him in there.

He can’t even come close to doing what Gueye does. He is the closest though. I’ll give you that.

Don’t think Gomes is a replacement for Gana. I’m sure Silva opts for Schneiderlin, but that would be the wrong move IMO.

Hopefully it'll be just a bit of bruising and at worst he misses the Palace game. The fact he limped off hopefully means its nothing serious and it isn't a hamstring/groin injury.

My only fear is if it proves to be similiar to Coleman and a hairline fracture which obviously is more 4-6 weeks.
