Maybe if Sam was manager or Moyes, but not silva, he’s definitely not disciplined or technically good enough for the defensive midfielder he wants. Let’s see what happens. But if PSG over 30mil we should snap their hands off.
We have. We now need players who can come in and offer us no drop off - or even an improvement - in quality. But they aren't easy to find. Trust Brands, like.
I mean he was literally in the right position to stop most of their attacks the other day, he was the only disciplined midfielder, as that's how Silva plays - with Gana deep and everyone else rushing on.
What is a worry is that Gana was our top passer the other day. And as we've discussed many times, he isn't good enough in that role.
Also, how you can watch the City and Spurs games and think 'we don't need Gana' is beyond me. Even if it's simply for games like that to be able to go up against those teams.

i just don’t believe he’s the number 6 he wants, he mentioned loosing out to a top
Team for a number 6 last summer.
I believe he wants, a number 6 that protects the centre backs and can start attacks, flanged by 2 box to box midfields ( Gomes & Doucoure maybe) I think he wants to play 433.
Also while I doubt he will end up at PSG or they would pay the money, but if they did offer silly money I think Brands will sell, he’s not a short term DOF it’s all about the long game.
Just out of interest did Gana play in any of our heavy defeats last season. IE Europa league games? Arsenal twice? Spurs? Southampton? Man Utd? The city massacre at home? But I suppose that was someone else’s fault.
I honestly can't remember if he did or not. I assume he played in a fair chunk of them. And no, but he wasn't particularly to blame either.
We miss him when he doesn't play. Regardless of how Silva may want to play moving forward, at the moment he's crucial to us. We can definitely look to improve/bring in another option, but it would be mental to sell in January.

My problem with gana is that he is not very good at passing the ball to one of his team mates,he is good at breaking play up but he needs to be both.

No it was not. Go find it then. I'm the biggest supporter of Gana on this board, and I've never said that. So stop exaggerating.
Fernandinho is maybe the best PLAYER in the entire league. Gana is also not as good as Kante.

Gana - 75 % accuracy (95 total passes) 10.1% of our total team possession

Gomes - 82% accuracy ( 45 total passes)
4.8% possession

I’m not saying consistently gana is the overall better player.
But he brings far more to the team than people on here make out.
The last two games he’s doubled gomes total passing attempts. Yes they are usually sideways or backwards. But recently he has been more positive in possession
