Most underwhelming signing ever?

I thought signing James McFadden the second time was genius really.

Like November and December when there saying how bad he is. He might have amazing tackling stats, but he played in a team that never got out their own half, and spent half their time on the defensive.

He had his naysayers, but most respected him and for what its worth he and probably Ayew were the most highly regarded of the lot.
