In an ideal world, both Benitez and Brands need to go, a new DOF who is given control of playing matters and appointments should be appointed and he should give the board a list of coaches he can work with.

Why would we waste money in a January window to come midtable when the manager is not going to be here for long. If the board have any ambition then he won't be here in January.

Seems another season is consigned to the bin in so far as actually achieving anything. In the hope that relegation can be avoided it would be better to not spend in January given the pitfalls of the January window. Better to wait until the summer with hopefully a sensible recruitment plan
