If Silva is sacked - who could/should we get?

I know someone who played under Moyes and he always says that this was his great skill as a manager. According to him, the players didn't love him, but they respected him and loved playing for him, because he was straight with you and expected exactly the same things from all his players. He didn't care if you were a 19 year old making your debut, a journeyman pro, or the star of the team, he expected you to put a shift in and follow instructions. If you did, he was happy, if you didn't you heard about it.

*edit* My personal opinion is this is why he failed at United, because their players didn't buy into that mentality and some players thought they were above others. He didn't know how to deal with that and so the whole thing fell apart for him.

My Manc supporting brother - in - law always said his biggest mistake was getting rid of certain backroom staff who he shouldn't have, and trying to change behind the scenes in one swoop.

Think Ian Wright is the best of them by a long shot. Crooks is just a strange, weird bundle of meaningless enthusiasm, of all of them, the strangest. You can't say he got the job because of his colour though. Most of them are beyond explanation.

When not on telly Lawro dresses like a distant Auntie and is preserved in a bungalow in Llandudno. He goes by the name of Sylvia.

Fixed.

One big name candidate out there still

The one thing about Moyes was he wouldn't have players going out and not putting in a shift, walking round the pitch, he knew that when players put that blue shirt on they were playing for the fans, and he expected those players to respect that, he was passionate on the line, when decisions went against us he would go on one, and this transferred to the players. Obviously he had his bad points "Knife to a gun fight" etc, but his commitment and passion could never be questioned.

Would I have him back, no, I just think you should never go back. I just wish we could have an ounce of his, and his Everton teams fighting spirit though.

All labeled lazy during the Moyes era, Moyes had the time and the opportunity to get these players out of the club though

Wigan in the cup.

Fellaini literally just threw his arms up in the air and gave up after around the hour mark.

Of course he was already mentally gone by then.

Oh and 0-7 vs Arsenal. I would have sacked him before he got to the dressing room but I am a hard taskmaster.

7-0 arsenal was a nothing game as we already had 4th. He said he told the players to go out after the game before and celebrate as we couldn’t go up or down.
