If Silva is sacked - who could/should we get?

Arteta needs to cut his teeth in management before he's given a big job as hes competely umproven.

Everton IS a big job... it doesnt feel like it when you see the amount of duds given the honour of leading us in recent seasons including the current melon.

Fully agree, our last few managers have been poor but experienced, Arteta has been a No2 at a club filled with superstars and you can’t see exactly what influence he has. Everton should be no one’s first job.

Yeah say it's a big job but we currently have a manager who failed at Watford, before that we went for a Southampton manager and Wigan before that.
Yes it's big to us, but it's not seen as big outside of Evertonians.
We have to be realistic.

To be fair he was doing well at Watford when we tapped him up initially!

Yeah but was he, he won 8 games? i think it looked like there was some potential but we went in far too early, he should of had at least a full season or 18 months there before we even looked at him

Can't help but wonder how Silva got so much credit for it. Since Watford returned to the top flight, they almost always seem to start hot before tailing off quite drastically. They did under Quique Sanchez Flores in 15/16. They did it under Silva in 17/18. They've done it under Gracia this season, except they've not tailed off badly like previous seasons. Not yet anyway. Even Mazzarri had them in and out of the top half until they went completely off the rails at the end of the season.

Just seen Steve Clarke on SSN responding to Stevie Gee Laas personal criticism.

SC handled himself very well. Very impressive and seems to be doing a good job up there.

SC comes into my thoughts for the Everton job.
