If Silva is sacked - who could/should we get?

This shout still baffles me.

Firstly this ain't nfl. Most teams don't have specialist defence coaches. And also experienced managers don't accept minor backroom roles.
The point is since he left our defending has turned to crap, last time we looked solid and were hard to score against was under Moyes.

One thing looks a cert, defending will not improve under Silva, his stats are horrendous with the 3 sides he's managed in the Prem, he needs to get a good defensive coach in or his time here is borrowed, the sack will come sooner rather than later.

Because some people aspire to be trophyless perpetual underdogs ruled over by someone who treats them with utter disdain.
It’s probably an English thing to be fair.
We are underdogs. Even with Moshiri’s money, we are well behind Chelsea, Man Utd, City Arsenal, the RS and Spurs. In terms of attraction to players, we are about the same level as a West Ham.

I don't disagree with this but your Moyes shout was still weird and never ever happenning in a million years.

That was quite a long time ago.

The Moyes we’d get now would not be the same at all.
I believe we have decent defenders here, but Silva has no idea on how to organise a defence.

I don't want Moyes back here mate, it was just a nod to the fact we need somebody who knows what's what when it comes to defending, because it's clear Silva is badly crap at that side of the game.

Managers egos are too big to seek help (defensive coach) as they think they can do it themselves. Thankfully Rogers thought the same otherwise the RS would have won the league that season.

Perhaps true that it will never happen. But to say it is weird to want our most successful manager of recent times back given the state we are in is even weirder. There are not many candidates available who are better and who are in our immediate reach

Nah - they were a one-man team pretty much. The damaging thing to Rodgers was how terrible he was at managing post-Suarez

Yeah it's not 2008 anymore. I've had enough of signing managers off the back of relegations. And he has failed everywhere since he left us.

MOVE ON.
