It all depends on our probable punishment from the FA. That being said there are many variables that will influence the probability of certain players staying or not. Obviously, any high flyers, such as Pickford, will have to be sold and there will be no problem getting a desirable fee. Then you have to look at players in the last year of their contracts. Do they want to stay? How old are they? What do they bring? How much is their salary? Some of them will no doubt believe a premiership side will come in for them. They may get a shock! Some of them have shown time and time again that they don't have what it takes on a mental, technical, or physical level to perform in the premiership. This is all down to how shrewd Thelwell is and how good his relationship is with the people around him. I've said before that he should be working diligently now to give us the best chance of mounting a strong promotion push next season should the unfathomable occur.
