If you were Beckham, would you take a job to promote Qatar for 150m?

Would you promote the Qatar WC for 150m?

‘Kin right I would

I’d play a 6 string instrument and call it my Qatar

I’d constantly cough to clear my chest, nose and throat and blame it on Qatar

hell I’d even play old video gaming systems and tell people they’re called Qatari 2600

Easiest money ever made

Compare my pension to £150M I'd be tempted.
Compare it to Beckham's net worth, it's still a fair chunk of change though.
But he'll tell himself it's just business, nothing personal.

Beckham and his wife have close to £800m. That's with ongoing sponsorships rolling in. He doesn't "need" the money.

But judging by his leaked emails where he was desperately trying to get knighted and basically said his charity work was to try and get knighted, he doesn't really care for morals, just fame, fortune and stature.

Is he being paid to promote Qatar the country, or the world cup in Qatar?

If it's the world cup, he can promote a football competition without advocating that the country is beyond reproach.

Is he still cringeworthy chasing a Knighthood?

Maybe this is the nearest thing he can get to one from a Royal Family by taking the Qatari's blood money, maybe it will sooth his ego that he didn't get a knighthood from Liz.

Elton, why don't you come on over and get stoned.

Yep, that's the horrible reality we are talking about.

The whole rainbow laces campaign won't help much there I feel.

No way can he take the money here.

How come the Lefties in town don't ask me to sign a petition boycotting Qatar?
