I thought Klassen was going to be brilliant as well. He was Ajax captain so I thought it was a no brainer.
I think there are still good deals to be had on championship players. Wharton for Palace was a good deal. Also the Coventry striker we were linked with last summer has done well.

Klassen is the one I feel sorry/disappointed about.

The Icelandic deviant was meant to play on the left, but we ended up with about 5 number 10s and no one in the team knew what to do with a player who did things like one touch pass and the like. Plus he really did need pacy wide players to compliment his style,

The league might also have been too fast for him, but we will never know. Went to Wolfsburg and did well after us, then back to Holland and did well; then transferred to inter.

I get a massive case of ‘us not him’ about it all tbh.

There are decent players out there who we can get in that price range, just comes down to decent scouting

You could get Maradona for £3m, Ruud Gullit for £6m or Johan Cruyff for a bargain £900,000.
