dave just accept we are mentally weaker and move on.That's this season though. We have been in good shape going into most of these 16 games.
I cant and wont ever accept that.dave just accept we are mentally weaker and move on.
its for the best!
**breaks out into EVVVV ERRRRR TONNNNN song
But you thought we’d have beat them if we got them back to Goodison. So you were five minutes away from being proud? A fluke corner goal away from being proud, but cos Jordan made a mistake everything gets chucked in the binI wasn't proud of it. Bollocks to that. We need wins and a lot of them. Liverpool are better than average and nothing more than that.
I cant and wont ever accept that.
That is a mentality that good organisation and good coaching bulldozes through.
We were suffering a resource imbalance in the 90s when Royle had that lot petrified going into Derbies. We need character and quality on the pitch, and supporters need to throw off a terrible complex that's being largely self-applied. They dread the derby. I dont. I'd have ten a season to get the chance of kicking that lot in the balls. That's the type of thinking we need: embrace the derby.
Let's have it right lads: the painful truth is that last night was nowhere near good enough.
We were there waiting to be dispatched. Again.
There's no honour in that.
It takes a club hierarchy to transmit that: dont let that lot get away, for instance, with presenting themselves as city representatives as they do a lot of the time. Yes, a stadium at BMD would be welcome in that respect, but every claim they make as being premier club here in the city needs an answer to it...there’s a status quo in this city. The Reds look down on the Blues. As somebody more articulate than me said yesterday, it’s not like we are three leagues below them but we still can’t beat them.
I keep saying that Moshiri’s key objective should be turning over the status quo in this city. If we do that we’ll be on our way.
If we had it'd have been against the grain of that match where we were second best and hoping against hope to hang on.But you thought we’d have beat them if we got them back to Goodison. I cant see that change.weve had neither for a long time, but I do believe we are changing things in this department. it wont happen over night tho
it all stems from the top. unfortunately you already know what that means..
I agree. But I also think it goes much deeper. One thing I will say about those whoppers, is that they refuse to accept defeat, often acting like spoilt brats, but never lie down for us. We expect to get beat, it runs from the very top, through the players, and down to the fans...there’s a status quo in this city. The Reds look down on the Blues. As somebody more articulate than me said yesterday, it’s not like we are three leagues below them but we still can’t beat them.
